Care Ritual
To preserve the softness, shape, and quiet beauty of the Hautnah bralette, we recommend gentle care. Each first order includes an unscented wool wash, offered as a complimentary gesture of care.
Wash gently by hand in cool water with mild wool specific soap.
Lay flat to dry.
Wear often.
Care tenderly.
This piece was made to be lived in slowly.
Care for it as you would something intimate. For detailed care instructions please see below:
-
Fill wash basin with cool/tepid water. Then add a gentle non-rinse wool wash and mix with your hand. Place the garment in the water and gently massage to incorporate the water and wool wash into the fibers. Let it rest at least 15 minutes in the water, then gently press out excess water (no need to rinse). Do not wring or twist. Although the fabric absorbs a little of the soap, it has beneficial properties. Lanolin fortifies & conditions clothing fibres - particularly great for woolens & knits.
-
Lay flat on a towel, fold the towel over the bralette, and press onto it gently. This helps remove excess water. Reshape, lay flat, and allow it to dry naturally. Never hang by the straps — the weight of water can stretch its form.
-
Merino is naturally breathable and resistant to odor, so washing is needed less often than you might expect. Sometimes, a little air and time is all it needs. Ideally wash no more than 1x each season (winter, spring, summer, fall) unless usage is high, then consider every 1-2 months.
-
Pilling is a natural part of life with soft knitwear. Over time, small fibers may gather on the surface in areas of friction, creating a light fuzz or tiny pills. This is a normal characteristic of delicate natural non-superwash fibers and not a defect. Gentle care and occasional removal can help keep your piece looking beautiful. Remove by hand, with a fabric shaver, or a sweater stone before you wash your garment.

When not in use, store your bralette folded in a drawer or wrapped in breathable fabric.
